In 1999, he was able to convince his relatives and friends of the idea of establishing the company, and then he did not have any money, so he had to take loans from his friends to establish the company in his home, and he named it Ali Baba.

In the year 2000, Jack Ma decided to expand his company's activity, as he succeeded in obtaining funding of 2 million dollars, and this made him achieve success.

As for the reason for naming the site as Ali Baba, it goes back to the famous (Ali Baba) story, and the name of Ali Baba is easy to use for the visitor and is similar to the phrase “Open Sesame”… It opens Ali Baba, which is full of everything related to China.
